New-president of Suzuki Motor Thailand

31st January 2019 – Bangkok –

Mr. Minoru Amano to Take the Position of President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd. Mr. Minoru Amano has been appointed as the new President for Suzuki Motor (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in effect from 31st January 2019.  

Mr. Amano, 58, was born on 10th June 1960. He began working for Suzuki in 1983 in the international marketing sector, during which he was responsible in overseeing the American, European, Oceania and Latin American markets. For over 30 years, Mr. Amano has been garnering experiences under various responsibilities at Suzuki, earning him the executive position at Suzuki’s Thailand this year. In 2019, Mr. Amano will take the helm as the President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand), where his biggest responsibility will be how he would help to add value to the Suzuki dealer network in Thailand, as well as expand the market base for compact cars to match the needs and lifestyle of customers. For this, Mr. Amano will implement the business philosophy, the ‘Way of Life!’ into his operations in order to successfully advance Suzuki Motor (Thailand) forward starting 31st January 2019.

As for his predecessor, Mr. Yoji Murosaka was assigned on new position on 30tht January 2019. For the past 3 years, Mr. Murosaka had worked extremely hard through the difficult time and situation in Thailand. He had committed himself to improving the working standard in all areas for Suzuki dealers, while encouraging them to constantly advance their service sector to attract more customers, as well as to become role models in the dealer business proved by the survey results of J.D. Power in 2016 and 2017, Thailand Sales Satisfaction Index (SSI) Study, SM. Suzuki's score showed above average among Mass Market Brands as the fourth ranks for two years. In addition Suzuki was the third rank of J.D. Power 2018 Thailand Customer Service Index (CSI) Study,SM which jumped up from the sixth rank in 2017. Mr. Murosaka had expressed his determination and sincerity by providing Suzuki customers with the best of services which exceeded customers’ expectations. His only thought was that every customer has been Suzuki’s greatest support that has helped enriched Suzuki’s image, and because of this they only deserve the best of the best. Furthermore, Mr. Murosaka was actively involved in expanding Suzuki Showroom covering more than 120 showrooms in the country and also laid down strong foundation and steadily increase sales every year and made what Suzuki is today.

After his tenure as the President of Suzuki Motor (Thailand), Mr. Murosaka will travel back to Japan and take up the position to be the Department General Manager, Spare Parts and Accessories Administration Department at Suzuki Corporation Japan.
