Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd. today unveiled NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS, the latest addition to MITSUBISHI XPANDER lineup and expanding SUV offerings in Thailand.
NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS, taglined ‘EXPLORE WITH STYLE’, demonstrates an urban SUV with stylish SUV exterior styling, comfort and pleasant drivability and a spacious and superior interior that makes the vehicle practical and versatile for everyone on board. NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS is now available at Mitsubishi showrooms nationwide, priced at THB 899,000 as introductory price until June 30, 2020.

In 2019, MITSUBISHI XPANDER achieved 16,196 units sold, accounting for 18% of Mitsubishi Motors Thailand’s total domestic volume. Robust and sophisticated design for urban lifestyle
NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS has a distinctive design with a more rugged and powerful appearance with the latest version of ‘Dynamic Shield’ design signature at the front end, which has a distinctively modern touch using geometric features within the front bumper and grille.
The swept-back LED headlamps complemented by large LED fog lamps, create a tougher yet futuristic look. NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS sports an outstanding appearance with a front that is 50 mm wider, black door garnish and wheel arch molding that house the redesigned two-tone 17-inch alloy wheels. It boasts a ground clearance of 225 mm or 20 mm higher than the standard MITSUBISHI XPANDER, providing great confidence for drivers to go further. The adjustment to suspension setting also enhances drivabilityand ride comfort.
NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS is equipped with roof rails enhancing cargo capacity and underlining the versatile and recreational nature of the SUV. Adding up to its rugged and sharp SUV appeal are piano black tailgate garnish underneath the rear window, shark fin antenna and a larger skid plate style bumper. It features new body colors including Sunrise Orange and Graphite Gray, in addition to Jet Black Mica, Sterling Silver and Quartz White Pearl that are available in the current variants of MITSUBISHI XPANDER.
Utility and versatility
The interior of NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS implements Mitsubishi Motors’ principle ‘Omotenashi’ that focuses on providing great hospitality and attention to detail for an interior. The cabin abounds with soft-touch materials, accompanied by silver and piano black decoration with black and brown color combination on the dashboard and seats. The steering wheel, shift knob and parking brake are all wrapped in leather, providing a classy feel and look.
The interior caters to the comfort and convenience of all occupants. Its roominess comes with the capability to carry up to 7 people. The second-row seat is split 60:40 while the third row is split 50:50 – both rows feature tumble-down design to create a large and flat storage space.
This SUV variant of XPANDER inherits Mitsubishi Motors’ Horizontal Axis design, where the overall orientation of the instrument panel enhances a driver’s feel for changes in the vehicle’s dynamic attitude. It also provides a clearer forward vision and roomier interior.
Noise levels are kept low with an extra sound-absorbing layer to block out outside noise. Occupants will be comfortable on any journeys, with rear climate control and air-con outlets for second row seats. 12-volt power outlets are available on every row.

NEW MITSUBISHI XPANDER CROSS is powered by a 1.5-liter MIVEC engine that provides maximum output of 105 PSat 6,000 rpm and 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm. It is an enhancement of the existing 4A9 series with improvements such as enhanced quietness and fuel efficiency. Coupled with 4-speed automatic transmission, the SUV offers the required performance for urban commuting as well as highway cruising.
